Biography

My research focuses on investigating how lipid profiles in the central nervous system fluctuate during demyelination and remyelination in a genetic mouse model. Currently, I am optimizing mass spectrometric methods to study changes in cholesterol, a significant lipid in the myelin sheath of neurons and its metabolites in the brain and spinal cord. This knowledge aims to enhance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that promote remyelination in multiple sclerosis.
