Biography

My research interests are focused on defining the molecular mechanisms that govern neurological diseases with myelin damage with a focus on lipid and hormone regulation. My approach to this research is informed by my diverse, interdisciplinary training in chemical biology as a PhD student with Prof. Barbara Imperiali at MIT and in neuroendocrinology as Postdoc with Prof. Tom Scanlan at OHSU.  I started my independent research lab in the Chemistry Department at the University of Kansas in 2020. In addition to bothering my graduate students, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, reading romance novels, and baking.
