Biography —
My research interests focus on the common aspects of neurological disorders and disease including autism spectrum disorders and traumatic brain injuries. The work in the Hartley lab focuses specifically on the molecular mechanisms underlying myelin damage and repair in these and other neurological disorders. I was drawn to this lab because this research answers important questions about neurological diseases like multiple sclerosis that can translate to a broader understanding of many neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Besides being fascinated with science, I really enjoy traveling, exploring, Jeeping, and camping with my husband, hanging out with my adult kiddos, and cooking!
A fun fact about me is that I lived in Berlin, Germany when there was still a wall around it.
